Stuart Hall
is a theorist that believes that when people what music videos there is three different ways that people watch the music videos and they all have different understanding when they watch the videos. there three different types are; dominant, negotiated and oppsitional.

1.Dominat; this where the reader (audience) sees the music video and gets the music video and agrees with whats happening on the screen and accepts and shares what they have gained from the reading for the music video.

2. Negotiated; this when the reader accepts what they have just read and they take it on board, but they also add there own preferences to the viewing. This allows they to accepts someone else terms but on their own terms which might make them feel more comfortable and still in control of what they do believe and don't.

3. Oppositional; this is where the reader doesn't agree what they have just read and they are directly opposite to what the dominat viewing means. They don't believe in the message that is trying to be put across the music video and doesn't share to others as they don't agree, they have alternative frame of mind of what the dominat message should be.

When we do our music video we want people to be all dominats and have a full understand of our music video. We have thought about this when doing the storyboard four our music video so the message is clear and there isn't any misunderstanding bu also we stand strong with the potential message we want to convey to our target audience.
